A special two-week SAP Certification Academy will be offered by SAP America & the University of Texas @ Dallas School of Management. SAP America will provide SAP Certified faculty to teach the SAP Certification training and administer the SAP Certification Exam.
The SAP Certification Academy will prepare you to:
Enhance your understanding of integration and system navigation in the SAP R/3 system.
Explain how the fundamental business processes interact with mySAP ERP in the areas of Sales Order Management, Material and Production Planning, Procurement, Inventory Management, Project Management, Plant Maintenance, Human Capital Management, Financial Management, and Management Accounting.
Perform the integrated logistics and financial processes in R/3 Enterprise, and the use of analytical components such as Business Warehouse and Strategic Enterprise Management.
Perform the core business R/3 transactions in the functional areas of Sales and Distribution, Production Planning, Procurement, Human Resources, Financials, and Controlling.

If you pass the certification exam at the end of the SAP Academy your name will be entered into the SAP database as a certified SAP consultant in mySAP ERP Integrated Business Processes.
Students must complete either MIS6319 or ITSS4340 Intro to ERP in order to participate in the Academy. There are no exceptions to this SAP University Alliance Rule!
Cost $1, 250 per student: Cost covers Certification Exam, Professional Instruction, and training materials. Payable to UTD in the form of Certified Check, or Money Order.
The graduate certificate in Healthcare IT emphasizes practical concepts and hands on experience gained using a electronic medical records (EMR) software such as Epic. The learning outcomes for the program include the following:
Identify and understand the key information requirements for managing and working with healthcare information systems.
Understand analytics related to healthcare information to develop sound healthcare decisions.
Understand the core functionalities of a leading EMR software platform, including how it supports clinical information workflows in a paperless environment, and its interconnectivity with other clinical and business systems.
The graduate healthcare IT certificate requires the completion of three courses (with a grade of B or better).
Students who have taken MIS 6324 during or prior to the 2013-14 academic year can count this course in lieu of HMGT 6334. However, starting with the 2014-15 academic year, students are required to take HMGT 6334 (instead of MIS 6317) to be eligible for the Certificate.
Application deadlines for domestic applicants are Fall: July 1st, Spring: November 1st, and Summer: April 1st. It may be possible to apply after the deadline for a certificate program. Please verify with the Academic Advising Office (972) 883-2750.
Students seeking the Healthcare IT Certificate must complete an online application before taking courses. After creating an account, select “Information Technology and Management – Non-degree” for the major. Complete all required elements of the application and press submit. As part of the essay, please submit a brief paragraph indicating your interest in the Healthcare IT certificate. This application will then be forwarded to the Advising Office.
For applications submitted on or before the regular application deadline, the non-refundable application fee is $50. For applications submitted after the regular application deadline, the non-refundable application fee is $125.

The graduate certificate in Enterprise Systems emphasizes theoretical concepts in enterprise resource planning experience using the SAP software. It provides broad exposure to various SAP functional modules such as sales and distribution, supply chain management, customer relationship management, procurement, human capital management, accounting and data warehousing. The program gives students an in-depth knowledge of two of these modules.
At the end of the program, students would be able to:
Identify the key integration points across various functional areas of large firms
Navigate SAP software and complete key business transactions
Gain deep knowledge in at least two functional and/or technical modules of SAP
Students completing this certificate program will also receive a “SAP Student Recognition Award” from SAP University Alliance and will also be eligible to attend the TERP10 SAP certification program at UT Dallas.
The enterprise systems certificate requires the completion of three courses (with a grade of B or better).
UT Dallas students already enrolled in a graduate degree program do not need to apply to the certificate program and may immediately register for certificate classes using the standard course registration process.
Students not currently enrolled as a graduate student at UT Dallas must submit an application to be admitted as a non-degree seeking student. Please note that international students may not apply as non-degree seeking students.

No additional Test scores are needed for non-degree applications.
After you have been accepted by the University as either a Degree or Non-Degree student, then you can register for the classes stated above by which MIS6319 Introduction to ERP must be one of the three courses from your selection.
The courses are typically offered in the evening to accommodate working professionals. Students may choose to take courses online instead of in the classroom.
Please note that you must have a 3.0 average in the required certificate courses in order be awarded the certificate.
